How Do I Replace A Submersible Water Pump & Install A New One That Is1/2 Horse, 8-10 Gpm For Home Use?
My Husband of 23 years died on Vererans Day (after being diagnoised with Lung Cancer) & I live alone. I am a 52 year widow & have no idea as to removal of old & installation of new, My finances are very tight & I can’t afford to have a professional do it. I have watched my Husband do all the fixing around the house so I DO have some knowledge of just how things work. PLEASE help me. Thank you so very much. I do have a slight disability with a left crushed broken ankle from last year, but I still do the best I can, I have repaired a lot of different things around the house; but this problem I’m somewhat lost in taking care of. Again thank you very much

Send me your e-mail, I will send you a manual
Two strong men are needed to pull the pump from the well. I did not attempt the job myself. A new 1/2 HP Gould pump as you describe cost $1,000 to install recently. My well is about 150 feet deep.
it’s very easy,
just go to the local home store and look at the display.
or ask them for help.
all you have to do is take out the old one and reconnect the hose and plug it back in.
Call your local Mormon Bishop, tell him what you need and ask him if you could get a couple of Elders to come over and do it for you. Tell him an Elder in Boise Idaho referred you. Do not attempt to do this alone.
This is not a borehole pump is it? Does it provide water to your house or does it just pump water out of a basement or cellar.
These are two different types of pump and I need you to give a little more information.
What is the distance from the pump to the highest point it should lift the water to?
Do you have any idea of the pressure the pump provides?
Add some more info if you have it and I’ll try to help you
